When can I enter for 2026?

What distances are available?
The event offers 5km, 10km, and Half Marathon options.

Can I walk instead of run?
Yes, participants are welcome to walk any of the distances.

How do I create a team?
Getting your crew together is easy. Register for the event as the Team Captain and create your team during registration. You will then receive a team link via email to share with your friends, colleagues, or teammates so they can join your team.

Is there a minimum age requirement?
Yes, please check the distance race information for minimum age requirements.

Can I register on the day of the event?
Yes, on-the-day registrations are accepted, but we recommend registering in advance to secure your spot

What is included in my registration fee?
Your fee covers race entry, a race bib, and access to aid stations along the course.

I can’t take part anymore. Can I get a refund?
All entries are non-refundable, including for changes in personal circumstances.
If you are unable to participate, you’re welcome to transfer your entry to a family member or friend during the official transfer period. Simply head to your registration dashboard via your confirmation email, click the Transfer option, and enter the new participant’s details.
Once they accept the transfer email, the entry will be assigned to them.
A $5 transfer fee plus transaction fees will apply.

Where does the event start and finish?
All races start and finish at the iconic Caroline Bay in Timaru.

What time should I arrive?
We recommend arriving at least 45 minutes before your race start time to allow for check-in and warm-up.

Is there parking available?
Yes, there is ample parking near the event venue

Are there aid stations on the course?
Yes, aid stations providing water and first aid are located at regular intervals along the course.

Can I bring my own hydration?
Absolutely, participants are encouraged to carry personal hydration if preferred.

What should I wear?
Comfortable running attire suitable for the weather conditions is recommended.

Are there restrooms available?
Yes, restroom facilities are available at the event venue.

Will I receive a medal?
All finishers receive a medal to celebrate completing the course

Is there a post-race celebration?
Yes, join us for a post-race celebration with music and refreshments at the finish area.

Do babies need to register?
Yes — everyone taking part, including little ones in prams or carriers, needs to be registered for health and safety reasons. This helps us keep accurate records and ensure all participants are accounted for on the course.

Can I run with a pram?
Absolutely! Prams are welcome. For health and safety reasons, we just ask that you start at the back of your race group to ensure a smooth and safe experience for everyone on course.

What happens if it rains?
The event will go ahead rain or shine, unless weather conditions are deemed unsafe. Any updates will be posted on our website and social media channels.

Are bikes, scooters, or other wheels allowed on course?
For health and safety reasons, bikes, scooters, skateboards, and similar wheeled devices are not permitted on the course.

Is the event timed?
Yes! All distances will be officially timed, and results will be available shortly after the event online.

Can I bring my dog?
To ensure the safety and comfort of all participants, dogs are not permitted on the course.
